My Story
As an aspiring, amateur artist, I began my journey without a clear understanding of to evaluate my work. As you know yourself, creating any art is a process, and we regularly change and tweak the piece until we feel it 'looks right'. I'll probably never be like Renoir, (probably?!) but I only wanted to get a balanced piece, with correct focal point, toning, colour palette, etc without being overly technical.
What I needed was simple advice so I knew how to improve, but didn't want to go to the art community to ask, as I prefer to keep things private until I felt ready to show the work to others. Seeking improvement, I turned to a tutor, but costs quickly added up, and I often felt like a burden.
To overcome these challenges, I realised I needed an easier way to receive meaningful and constructive feedback to help me grow as an artist. This led me to study art theory and critique practices with the focus on people like me - the aspiring amateur, who wants to create art for fun and self-fulfillment, ultimately inspiring me to launch my website as a platform for insights and fostering artistic development.

You'll receive meaningful, constructive feedback on your piece alone. I don't share the art or critique with anyone else. I do not judge you or your art - only offering a critique to help you improve.
This is the website I wish I was able to go to, all those years ago!
